The melting pot of culture and fashion that resides in SoFlo directly influenced the way I dress and my sense of style. Thats why most of our garments give nod and pay homage to this community. This hoodie is a prime example: A pastel yellow cotton with distressed denim in a variety of colors throughout. The text "BACKYARDMIAMI" "BACKYARDMAFIA "BACKYARDMILITIA" seen on the chest is a statement that evokes the communal feeling we are trying to establish with this brand. Everybody with this hoodie should feel as if they're part of a secret society that outsiders are not allowed in. It features a Florida-shaped zipper that was custom molded by our manufacturers overseas. We asked for the zipper to be noticeably bigger than usual, so that it almost resembles that of a chain pendant. A palm tree in distressed denim on the hood, that is able to zip all the way. Additionally the "MIA" on the 'Back' acting as a double entendre; hence 'Back'yard'Mia'. And our signature woven label that reads "Curated at the Bottom of the Map", a subtle detail that puts the icing on the cake. See the Photography section for detailed photos of this garment.
